-
Yes. On sunny days, children should come to camp with suncream applied before arrival and bring their own clearly labelled suncream with them.
Our team will remind and support children to reapply suncream during the day where appropriate. Children are encouraged to apply their own suncream, with supervision as needed.
We also recommend sending your child with a sun hat and a filled water bottle on hot days.
Special circumstances
-
If your child needs regular or prescribed medication during the day, this must be declared when you book and recorded on the system, along with clear instructions for administering it.
Medication should be clearly labelled with your child’s name and handed directly to the Camp Manager at drop-off. All medication is stored securely and, where required, kept refrigerated.
If your child is unwell and would normally need medication such as paracetamol or Calpol, we ask parents to use the same judgement they would on a school day. Children who are unwell should not attend camp.
If you’re unsure about medication requirements, please get in touch before booking and we’ll be happy to advise.
-
Yes. If your child has a comfort item that helps them feel settled or reassured, they’re very welcome to bring it with them.
This might include something small like a soft toy or special item, particularly for younger children or those who feel anxious in new environments. Our team will support children to use comfort items in a way that helps them feel secure while still taking part in camp activities.
We recommend avoiding anything particularly precious or very sentimental, as we can’t guarantee against items being lost or damaged during the day.
If you feel your child may need additional support, you’re welcome to let us know in advance so we can make the team aware.
-
If your child has allergies or specific needs, it’s important that these are noted when you book so we can make the team aware.
If your child requires medication (such as an EpiPen), this should be brought to camp each day, clearly labelled, with written instructions, and handed directly to the Camp Manager at drop-off.
Where helpful, you may also wish to include anything that supports your child during the day, such as clearly labelled food, comfort items, or other essentials discussed with us in advance.
If you’re unsure what to send or would like to talk anything through before camp, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
Clothing & footwear
-
Children should wear comfortable clothing suitable for active play, sports, and spending time outdoors.
We recommend:
Clothes that your child can move freely in
Trainers or sturdy footwear suitable for sports and outdoor activities
Please avoid sending children in clothing or footwear that you wouldn’t want to get messy, as we take part in a range of active and creative activities throughout the day.
On colder/wetter and hot days, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.
-
Children should wear trainers or sturdy, closed-toe footwear suitable for sports and active outdoor play.
During the summer months, children must wear closed-toe shoes. Sandals, flip-flops, or open-toe shoes aren’t suitable for camp activities.
Please avoid sending children in footwear that they may find uncomfortable for a full day of active play.
-
Yes, we recommend that children bring a change of clothes, particularly if they’re prone to accidents or likely to get messy during the day.
Spare clothes can be especially helpful on busy, active camp days or during outdoor play.
-
No. Children don’t need to bring specific sports kit.
As long as they’re wearing comfortable clothes and suitable footwear that they can run around in and move easily, that’s absolutely fine.
Personal items
-
We ask that children do not bring personal devices (such as phones or tablets) to camp.
If a child does arrive with a device, it should be handed to the Camp Manager, who will store it securely for the day.
We don’t recommend bringing toys or valuables to camp, as we can’t guarantee they won’t be lost or damaged. During the main camp day, there’s very little opportunity for children to play with personal items.
If your child would like to bring a small toy or item for After Club, that’s fine, but please note this is at your own discretion and we’re not able to take responsibility for personal belongings.
-
No, we ask that children do not bring mobile phones or other personal devices to camp.
If a child does arrive with a phone, it should be handed to the Camp Manager at drop-off, where it will be stored securely for the day and returned at pick-up.
This helps us keep children focused on activities and ensures a safe, distraction-free environment.
-
We keep a central lost property area, and our team does their best to collect and return any items left behind at the end of each day.
As camps often run in school environments with multiple rooms and shared spaces, it’s not always possible to locate every item. For this reason, we strongly recommend that all belongings are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
If something does go missing, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help. However, we can’t guarantee the return of lost items.
