Frequently Asked Questions
Bookings & availability
-
Booking a place is quick and easy.
Simply head to our book now page, choose your ‘class’ and then ‘book tickets’. You can choose to book a block (the whole camp) or ‘single’ where you can select specific dates. From there follow the steps to secure your child’s place. All bookings are made online through our booking system, powered by Pebble.
Once your booking is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details you need, including what to bring and how to contact us if you have any questions.
If you get stuck or need help with your booking, just drop us a message, we’re always happy to help.

You can absolutely book individual days - there’s no need to block book unless you want to, although it is slightly cheaper if you do.
Many families choose to book just the days they need, while others book a full week for ease. The choice is completely yours and depends on what works best for your family.
All available dates and prices are shown when you book online.

On the whole, children are grouped by school year, not age.
When you book, you’ll be asked to select your child’s current school year. If you’re unsure which group to choose, just get in touch and we’ll help you decide.
For summer camps, please choose the year group your child has just completed.
Red = Reception
Blue = Year 1
Purple = Year 2
Green = Year 3&4
Yellow = Year 5&6 -
Yes - in many cases, siblings can be booked into the same group.
This is often a great option where a younger child is new to camp, on the younger side, or would feel more confident having an older sibling with them. We’re very happy to accommodate this and often recommend it in those circumstances.
It generally works best where the older sibling is close in age (for example, one to two school years above), as activities are planned to be age appropriate. If there’s a bigger age gap, the older child may find some activities less engaging - particularly if their friends or peers are in a different group!
Ultimately, parents know their children best. We’re flexible and always happy to try a particular set up and adjust if needed once camp is underway.
If you’re unsure what would work best, just get in touch and we’ll talk it through with you.

In most cases, yes.
If children are in the same school year, they’ll usually be placed in the same group by default. We generally run one group per year group, so it often happens naturally.
If you’d like your child to be with a particular friend, you’re very welcome to let us know names when you book or get in touch afterwards, and we’ll do our best to accommodate this.
There are a couple of things to be aware of:
- We’re unable to confirm whether a specific child is attending camp or which group they’re in.
- We can’t guarantee placements based on school as we don’t collect school information.Wherever possible, we’re happy to help and will always do what we can - just bear in mind requests are subject to availability and group sizes.
-
Yes - we welcome children aged 4–12, including some children who haven’t yet started school.
That said, camp days can be busy and stimulating, with lots going on and a wide mix of ages. The environment is quite different from a nursery or pre-school setting, and some younger children may find the pace or scale a bit overwhelming if they’re not used to it.
We ask parents to book children who haven’t started school only if they feel confident their child will be happy and able to cope in a lively, group-based environment. You know your child best.
Our team will always keep an extra eye on our youngest campers and support them as needed. However, our staff-to-child ratios are different from early years settings, so we’re not able to offer the same level of one-to-one care that a nursery or pre-school might provide.
If you’re unsure whether camp is the right fit, we’re very happy to talk it through with you before you book.
-
Places do tend to fill up pretty quickly. We usually open bookings for the next camp as the current (or most recent) one finishes. For the summer holidays, bookings often open earlier as we know many families like to plan well in advance.
Availability is always shown when you book online, including when dates or groups are sold out.
If you are booking last minute, or the dates you want aren’t available, please do get in touch, as we can often find a solution.
We operate a waiting list for sold out dates/groups and will contact families if spaces become available.
-
If you’d like to add extra days to an existing booking, please get in touch with us.
We’ll add the additional days to the system for you (subject to availability) and then issue an invoice for the extra payment.
-
Yes, in most cases, changes can be made after you’ve booked, subject to availability.
Please note that changes can’t be made directly through the booking system. If you need to amend dates, swap days, add wraparound, or make any other changes to your booking, you’ll need to contact us and we’ll make the updates for you.
Because our camps can fill up quickly, changes aren’t always guaranteed, but we’ll always do our best to help where we can.
-
Yes - as long as there are spaces available, you can book right up until the day before.
Availability is always shown on the booking system. If a date or group is sold out, it will be marked as such.
If you’re hoping to book at the last minute and aren’t sure, or the date you want isn’t showing as available, please get in touch. We’ll let you know what’s possible and can add you to the waiting list if appropriate.
-
If a camp, date, or group is fully booked, it will be clearly marked as sold out on our booking system.
If you’re trying to book a run of days and find that one or two dates are sold out (this often happens mid-week), we suggest booking your child into an alternative group for those dates where appropriate. If a space then becomes available closer to the time, we can move them across.
You’re also able to be added to our waiting list for sold-out dates or groups. If a space opens up, we’ll contact families on the waiting list in order.
While we can’t guarantee availability, we’ll always do our best to help find a workable option.
-
The camp(s) that’s currently open for booking will always be shown on our website.
When bookings are open, you’ll see the relevant camp dates and locations listed on our Book Now page. Camps that aren’t yet open for booking won’t be available to select.
If you’re ever unsure, or can’t see the dates you’re looking for, just get in touch and we’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.

Global Camps is designed for children aged 4–12 years.
We welcome children across this full age range, including some who haven’t yet started school, as long as parents feel confident their child will be happy in a busy, group-based camp environment.
At the upper end, we can sometimes be flexible and accept slightly older children, particularly where families need additional childcare support and we know the child well. It’s worth bearing in mind that our activities are planned to be age-appropriate for primary-aged children, so older children may find the programme less engaging.
If you’re unsure whether Global Camps is the right fit for your child, we’re always happy to chat it through and help you decide.
